The SPS support allows you to add a second "Over-Duty Sump Pump" to your sump pit, which can automatically kick in on those odd occasions when demand increases. Then, when over-duty conditions subside the extra pump switches off and your primary sump pump can resume much more effficient operation than a single large pump could ever achieve.
